Berna KAYA
International Relations Officer​

Berna Kaya is an International Relations Officer at Puffin Edusoft, bringing more than two decades of professional experience in education, international cooperation and project development.
She began her career as an English teacher at the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye in 2002 and later contributed to national-level initiatives, including the Supporting the Integration of Syrian Children into the Turkish Education System Project (PICTES), where she played a key role in the Material Development and Quality Unit. Within this framework, she co-authored various publications and teaching materials supporting both teachers and students in the integration process.

Kaya has an extensive track record in EU-funded initiatives, particularly through international Erasmus+ collaborations. Her project experience spans sign language education, vocational training for disadvantaged groups and the design of digital and inclusive learning solutions, with a focus on educational software, e-learning platforms and technology-supported integration models.

Her academic background combines English Language and Literature (BA, Ankara University) with a Master’s degree in International Relations (Ufuk University). Her thesis, “Educational Policies Applied to Syrian Migrants in Türkiye (2015–2022)”, reflects her expertise at the intersection of migration, education and the inclusion of disadvantaged groups.

She has enriched her professional profile not only through her long-standing career at the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye as an English teacher and Senior Teacher, but also through a wide range of certifications and professional training. These include quality management, project consultancy, distance education methodologies, instructional skills, occupational health and safety and special education. This combination of classroom experience, ministry-level engagement and continuous professional development has strengthened her capacity to contribute to inclusive learning, curriculum design and large-scale educational projects.

At Puffin Edusoft, Kaya focuses on international partnership building, proposal writing and project coordination with particular emphasis on inclusive education, digital learning solutions and the integration of disadvantaged groups.
